Home Welcome to the home of the Varsity Raiders football team. We are located in Bradenton, Florida and are proud to be associated with the Manatee County Police Athletic League (PAL). We encourage you to spend a little time reviewing our website and learn more about our team. Please feel free to contact one of our team coaches or parents if we can help answer any questions you may have.
About Us The PAL Raider organization has been in operation since 2000. Following a strong commitment to teaching individual accountability for one's effort and responsibility to others in a team environment, combined with comprehensive coaching resources, we have been to 6 of the last 8 Super Bowls, winning four and losing two.
Team Announcements Academic Announcements: We are proud of all the Raider Players who are excelling in their academic endeavors. Please forward coach Mike any news on our teams' academic achievements and we will get them posted to the site. 2007 Baseline Testing: The results from the baseline testing are posted HERE. Please remember that these results will be used as an initial starting point for the coaches to develop individual goals for each player. Visit our Resources page for educational material and web-based presentations from our coaches. Click HERE for our 2006 JV Team photo show. The JV Raiders ended the season undefeated in the regular season as well as the play-offs, culminating with a convincing win against the Broncos in the Super Bowl (Raiders 26, Broncos 12). Great job players, coaches and parents. Enjoy our team photo show and note you must have speakers connected to your PC to take full advantage of this show. Are you a Champion? Value Statement PAL is based on the belief that children, if reached early enough, can develop a strong, positive attitude toward law enforcement officers in their journey through life toward a goal of adulthood and good citizenship. Our team feels that this belief can translate to life lessons for each player in other aspects of their lives as well (i.e., family, school, future careers, etc.). The vehicle we promote for these lessons is team football and the teaching that accompanies it. "The measure of a winning team is the Sum of its parts, and the journey they share putting the Pieces together." Back to Top

Team Objectives To develop each player's skill-set in order to attain his highest level of ability while focusing on a positive sportsmanship attitude. To promote team-oriented success in a competitive football environment. To introduce the concept of fitness and conditioning as a long-term objectives in order to prepare each player for adulthood. To emphasize the coaches role as 'teachers' first, then coaches second to promote constructive learning for each player. To educate each player that it is more important to provide 100% effort than to win at all costs. To provide a safe and structured youth sports environment, while molding each player to become a positive contributing member of our community. To strengthen existing friendships while making new ones.
